Pahalgam Terror Attack: 7 Dead, PM Modi Returns to Handle Crisis

Srinagar, May 19, 2025 — A deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, claimed the lives of 5 security personnel and 2 civilians on Sunday evening. Militants ambushed a convoy near the Lidder River, triggering panic in the tourist hotspot.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to New Delhi to lead an emergency security meeting. The government vowed a “decisive response” and launched a large-scale anti-terror operation in the region.
